We hope our guests have the most relaxing holiday possible in Portugal. This Alentejo borderland is tranquil, secret Portugal at its best.

6 wonderful days

We really enjoyed 6 wonderful days in this fantastic Quinta - we only wish we had one more week here. Weather has been perfect - clear blue sky, chilly mornings and hot afternoons.

We did some of the walks described in the very useful folders: specially recommendable is the route around Marvao and the beautiful medieval roads - followed by a well deserved local lamb stew on a terrace in the city.

We have relaxed on the terrace - at one point with two sheep who visited us ;-), and we have enjoyed freshly picked grapes, figs & oranges from the garden. Very very yummy!

After this fantastic peace & quites "disturbed" by the calming sound of the stream and the sheep bells we move on to Evora for the next 6 days. We will definitely return.

Perfect for those needing a change

The quinta is perfect for those needing a change from the hustle and bustle of busy lives. The situation is beautiful and tranquil. The accommodation offers all that visitors require including appliances and kitchen equipment. Much thought has obviously been devoted to providing information about the locality. The owners Catherine and Chris are to be congratulated. Geoffrey and Sheila Hoskins.

We had a marvelous week. Thank you, we really appreciated your lovely Quinta. It surpassed our expectations in every way. Nightingales, Bee-eaters Hoopoe, and a Golden Oriole and peace! Walks took us twice as long as they should as so much to stop and see.        

We just wanted to let you know what a fabulous time we had when we were at the quinta. I cannot enthuse enough over it and we were all so impressed by the way you have equipped the house. We have rented several self catering properties over the years in both the U.K. (to walk), in Austria (also to walk) and in France (to ski) and we have never had such comfort. You have thought of everything.  

This summer vacation might have been best in my life, thanks to you for the house. Cheers!

We had in fact some wonderful quiet days at the Quinta and we experienced Portugal from a totally different side than ever before. Just great !

10 dias de ferias em familia que ficarão na recordaço! 10 days of family holiday that we will remember! We remember the comfort of the house and the attention to detail. The magnificent view from the wooden terrace and above all the silence of the valley with only the sound of the running stream. It is good that there are still houses that can welcome you like this. We will remember it, we recommend it and we will be back!!!
